Emily Slapin Lufkin is a 2020 recipient of the Vice Admiral Robert L. Walters Scholarship from the Surface Navy Association. The SNA is the professional organization for surface warfare officers and enlisted surface warfare specialists. The VADM Walters academic scholarship is available to SNA members and their immediate family members, and is awarded based on demonstrated leadership, community service, academic achievement and a commitment to pursuing higher educational objectives.
