We recently invited Annie Gough, MS, CMI, FAMI, a renowned expert in medical legal illustration known for her excellent educational presentations, to teach our first-year graduate students.
Annie provided a two-part lecture series and workshop on medical legal illustration structured around the framework of the legal system. Annie worked with faculty member Lydia Gregg, MA, CMI, FAMI, to organize and design the structure of the new curriculum as part of Lydia’s class, Illustrating Anatomy, ME:120.719. They included a quiz to enhance learner retention.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and asked excellent questions. They created proposals for medical legal case studies that were based on Annie’s experiences as part of the workshop. Some of their process work for these quick case studies is shown below.
