Assistant Professor Jeff Day will be speaking at the Provost’s Teaching with Technology DELTA Symposium at Johns Hopkins University on May 4 at 10:45am.

The theme of this year’s online DELTA Symposium is “Fostering Student Engagement in Learning Communities”. The day includes presentations, demonstrations, and networking opportunities devoted to the exploration of teaching innovation at Johns Hopkins University. The symposium is intended to provoke conversation, spark new thinking, and advance the ongoing pursuit of teaching excellence.

Jeff Day, a DELTA Grant recipient, is the PI for the project Broadening the message: Making videos more usable at Johns Hopkins University and beyond. His talk will touch on his team’s work to promote and test accessibility and Universal Design for Learning using animated videos.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Tonya Matthews, current Chief Executive Officer of the International African American Museum (IAAM) in Charleston, SC.
