Congratulations to student Emily Wu whose artwork is featured in the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Currents Blog post. Created in the course Molecular and Cellular Visualization with Associate Professor Sandra Gabelli, PhD, and Adjunct Professor Fabian de Kok-Mercado, MA, CMI, serving as teaching faculty for student illustrations. This work visually explains Dr. Gabelli’s complex research in designing antibodies to target cancer cells.
Emily Wu will graduate in May 2021 with a Master of Arts in Medical and Biological Illustration from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Sandra Gabelli, PhD, has been a faculty member in the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine since 2010, and has joint appointments in the Departments of Medicine; Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry; and Oncology.
Fabian de Kok-Mercado, MA, CMI, has been a faculty member in the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine since 2019.
