
Jeffrey Day, MD, MA, Assistant Professor, Department of Art as Applied to Medicine
Jeff Day is a full-time faculty member, medical illustrator and animator in the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine. His research is focused on the measurable impact of visuals and usability in multimedia to improve learning, speed of information delivery, and learner engagement.
Since he joined our faculty last August, Jeff has assumed the following teaching roles: co-instructor in Biological Illustration (the National Aquarium project), 2D Animation, and Design of Interactive Learning Experiences; team-teacher in OR Sketching, Surgical Illustration, and a thesis advisor in Research and Thesis. He has developed and will teach Introduction to Design, a new course familiarizing incoming students with principles of design, cognitive theory and user-centered thinking.
