Congratulations to Associate Professor Lydia Gregg, MA, CMI, FAMI, for receiving the Outstanding Service Award for 2020 from the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI).
Up to two AMI members receive the Award each year. In 2020, Lydia joins our colleague Jill Gregory in receiving the award. It is given to professional AMI members whose actions or creations have had a significant positive impact on the profession of medical illustration.
AMI 2019-2020 Chair of the Board, alumna Karen Bucher, announced the award during the 2020 Webinar Series, and had this to say:
“Five years ago when the AMI made it part of their strategic plan to implement online learning, this member took the goal and ran with it. The Online Learning webinars were running within a year, making it the first goal of that 5-year plan to be checked off. When the pandemic caused the postponement of the 2020 annual meeting, Lydia urged leadership to consider a webinar series and assured us that she could have it ready to roll within 6-8 weeks. And here we are. Lydia Gregg has been such a force within our leadership over the past 5 years, determined to not only see tasks through, but to make them happen with the highest degree of efficiency, professionalism, and confidence. We present the 2020 AMI Outstanding Service Award to Lydia Gregg. Thank you Lydia!”
