The Department is proud to share that faculty member Tim Phelps recently opened his nature art exhibition, Eyes on Nature: Works of Tim Phelps, at the Richmond Art Museum in Richmond, Indiana. The exhibit opened on June 7, 2025, and will run through July 26, 2025, in both the Lingle and Lackoff Galleries.

The opening event was a meaningful homecoming for Phelps, drawing a crowd of over 70 attendees. Among them were members of his family, cherished high school and college classmates and their families, new acquaintances, and special guests, including the family of his late high school art teacher, Pauline Ronald—whose own artwork is also featured in the exhibition.

While the exhibit is physically located in Indiana, Phelps invites everyone to explore his work virtually through two short video tours. The exhibit includes over 40 nature-inspired images as well as a selection of his work in medical illustration:

This exhibit offers a compelling look into the intersection of art, science, and nature through the unique lens of Tim Phelps’ creative vision.
