Associate Professor Jennifer Fairman was invited to speak to the International Turkish Medical Illustrators Group, chaired by with fellow Alum Levente Efe, MD, CMI on May 23rd.

The theme of the meeting focused on 2D animation. Jeni spoke to the group about her thinking and planning process, workflow in creating storyboards,  Illustrator and Photoshop assets, and her process in After Effects for 2D animation. Jeni emphasized how minimal action can enriches the visual narrative.

Jeni also talked about her process in creating 3D assets using Illustrator modeling, as well as traditional drawing techniques to create Photoshop assets.
 
The lecture was followed with a critique of Levente’s mentees’ work of short 2D animation projects.
