Recent graduate Emily Wu, MA (Class of 2021) will see work from her thesis project grow over the next year thanks to a DELTA Award from the Office of the Provost at Johns Hopkins University. The project was one of six awardees selected from teams across the entire university. Titled “Development and Evaluation of Open-Access Educational Media for Medical Trainees Studying MRI Physics”, the winning proposal will be awarded funds to continue the educational animations Emily started in her thesis, as well as resources to test various media types with residents and medical students.
Emily’s thesis preceptor Erin Gomez, MD (Department of Radiology) and her advisor Jeff Day, MD, MA (Art as Applied to Medicine) will help oversee the project and add teaching media to TeamRads.com, a public resource for radiology education. The DELTA team is rounded out by Chris Devers, PhD (School of Education) and Doris Lin, MD, PhD and Mahadevappa Mahesh, MS, PhD (Department of Radiology, School of Medicine).
