The best places to start learning about our Portfolio Categories is the Sample Portfolio page – https://medicalart.johnshopkins.edu/sample-portfolio/ and the Admissions page – https://medicalart.johnshopkins.edu/admissions-mbi/. Let’s take a look at the Sketchbook Pages category.
The faculty are interested in seeing sketchbook pages that show examples of your artistic thought process and creativity, sketching from direct observation, and preliminary studies for final work. Sketches are not the refined final piece, but share your visual problem-solving on your way to defining your final composition.
We ask for a minimum of 2 Sketchbook Pages. The faculty hope to see sample pages as they exist in your sketchbook without additional editing or refinement.
As always, if you have additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us – [email protected] or Request Information.
Have a great week,
Ebony,
Thank you for your help with this post David!
