Sarah Chen

Sarah grew up in Santa Cruz, California. She received her BS in Health Sciences at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a graduate certificate in Science Illustration at California State University, Monterey Bay. Sarah is currently pursuing her masters in Medical and Biological Illustration at Johns Hopkins University, while on hiatus from the MD program at UC Davis School of Medicine. As a child, Sarah could never choose between being an artist or a doctor, and now she’s thrilled to be immersed in both disciplines in pursuit of a hybrid career.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling abroad, painting her nails, coercing her friends to join her at the gym, and martial arts. She is enamored with the color red, and can be seen in the clinic sporting her bright red stethoscope.
