May 2012: We are pleased to present a second Ranice W. Crosby Distinguished Achievement Award this year to a very special individual at Hopkins in recognition of his exceptional dedication to everyone in the School of Medicine. As an outstanding leader, Dr Edward Miller, Dean of the School of Medicine and Chief Executive Officer of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has shepherded the School to new heights. Since 1997, his enthusiastic service has been the guiding force that has brilliantly led Hopkins Medicine to its paramount position in health care around the world. His attention to and concern for students, faculty and Departments has furthered the collegial atmosphere on the campus. The faculty, students and alumni of the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine take this opportunity to thank him for his support for our vision of the Facial Prosthetic Clinic and our recent celebration of 100 years of teaching excellence in medical illustration. Thank you Dean Miller!
